Recipe from Oasis at Bird-In-Hand
(serves 2)
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch garlic scapes
- olive or coconut oil
- sea salt
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Wash and dry your scapes. Break off the harder ends {as you would like asparagus} and leave whole. Drizzle a light amount of oil on the scape and sprinkle it with sea salt. Toss on the grill and remove them when they’re soft on the inside, crispy on the outside and golden brown.
To roast preheat your oven at 400. Cut the scapes into smaller pieces, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Roast for about 15 minutes; flip over half way through. The scapes are scrumptious to eat when soft and golden brown.
